Graz, Austria, Nov/Dec – We are very proud and honored that our project Apna Haq won overall winner at the European Youth Award 2013 this past weekend!

The project is a collaboration between VOW Media and Feminist Approach to Technology.

Representatives for VOW Media, Catalina and Ilena, were in Graz from 28 November to 1 December.

Besides seeing the beautiful city of Graz, our team members got to take part in a packed program; many interesting workshops, keynotes and interactive discussions with specialists and professionals.

Our team particularly enjoyed the combination of talk and drawing from Paul Hughes, and the angle on success which focuses on personal satisfaction instead on monetary gain told by Adam Montadon.

All the winning projects tackled important social topics, such as sustainability, poverty, disease, the need for education and much more. For a full list of all the projects check this link out.

On Saturday students from different European countries exhibited own works, and works that commented on the winning projects. The feedback and analysis from the team that dealt with Apna Haq was very constructive and useful.

Our team left Graz full of inspiration and ideas, sharing technological knowledge for socially aware projects is a wonderful way to connect beyond borders and cultures. Here are a few photos. More to come.
